BSU: ‘Overwhelmed and overjoyed”

When I first came to Blue Mountain College, I was new in my faith and hungry to learn more about the character of God. I never knew how much of an impact the Baptist Student Union (BSU) would have on my life! I have been able to live life with brothers and sisters in Christ.
Recently, I was in quarantine at my school. I was overwhelmed and overjoyed with the amount of love and encouragement I experienced through my friends I have met through BSU. In my loneliest time, I had friends build me up and remind me of how deep God’s love is for me.
For the past three years, BSU has been a big part of my life. It changed my perspective on who God is and how life changing it is to walk with Him daily. Most importantly, I have learned how to share the Gospel with lost people. Through many mission opportunities, God has revealed to me the importance of evangelism across my campus and to the lost people in the world. I have witnessed what true discipleship looks like, and I have been used by God to help equip disciples of Christ, which is so awesome!

I am so thankful for my BSU director, Tracy Moser, and other leaders who have poured so much into my life and mentored me. They have truly shown me how to love God and love others. BSU has been an unexpected blessing that has brought so much joy to my life.
