Cooperative Program giving remains the same year over year

NASHVILLE (BP) – Cooperative Program giving for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 was roughly the same dollar amount as CP giving in the previous fiscal year.

The 2025-2026 total receipts of $185,619,397.15 were slightly (.25 percent) less than last year’s total of $186,091,048.26. The final number was 2.31 percent below the ‘25-26 budget goal of $190 million, which included a $3 million special allocation for the SBC Executive Committee for Convention legal expenses. Designated gifts through the SBC EC were also slightly (1.33 percent) behind last year’s totals.

“On behalf of thousands of missionaries, church planters, seminary students and convention employees, we thank Southern Baptists for their steadfast prayers and gifts which make our shared work possible,” said Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee President Jeff Iorg. “We are truly better together as we fulfill God’s eternal mission.”

The Cooperative Program, Southern Baptists’ unified funding mechanism, was instituted in 1925.

If national CP gifts exceed the budget projection at the end of the fiscal year, the balance of the overage is distributed according to the percentages approved for budgetary distribution. The SBC Executive Committee distributes all CP and designated gifts it receives on a weekly basis to the SBC ministry entities.

CP allocation budget gifts received by the Executive Committee are reported monthly to the executives of the entities of the convention, to the state convention offices and to the state Baptist papers and are posted online at sbc.net/cp.
