Go Tell America Southwest MS concludes with over 500 decisions for Christ

BROOKHAVEN, Miss. — The Go Tell America Southwest Mississippi Crusade concluded Oct. 22 after four powerful nights of worship and Gospel messages. Held at Brookhaven High School, the event ran from Oct. 19-22, drawing thousands from across the region.

The opening night on Sunday evening brought in around 1,700 attendees with 60 decisions for Christ. Attendance remained strong on Monday and Tuesday evenings, bringing the total to 100 decisions by midweek. The closing night, which featured a special student emphasis, drew an astounding 3,500 attendees and raised the total number of decisions to over 500.

Prior to the final night of worship, students gathered in Panther Park for free pizza and fellowship. Youth were also encouraged to enter a drawing for a 2023 Chevy Malibu, generously donated by Stan King. Brookhaven Academy student Lexi Fortenberry was the recipient of the car.

Go Tell America Southwest MS extends sincere gratitude to Brookhaven High School for their generosity in providing a functional venue for this crusade, and to all the volunteers, sponsors, and attendees who made this event possible.

“The first meet on the newly recovered track at King Field was people meeting with King Jesus!” Crusade attendee Nathan Case shared to Facebook.

The Southwest Mississippi Crusade closed on a note of gratitude and hope, uniting churches, students, and families from across the region in a shared message of faith.
