Cherry Creek Baptist Church, Pontotoc County, took a group of 43 people to the Reedy Acres Campus of The Baptist Children’s Village on June 27 to do much-needed clean-up and landscaping for the office and homes. Teams met together to take items to the landfill, while others established new flower beds and plants. The children got involved by painting stones to place around the new flower beds and by building two birdhouses and bird feeders. Another team prepared a meal for the workers, and everyone gathered under the pavilion to enjoy it together. The church also collected household supplies and pantry items to gift to the homes as a thank you for their work.
