The Mississippi Baptist Pastor’s Conference was held Oct. 28 prior to the Mississippi Baptist Convention in Jackson.

Using Titus 2:11-15 as his text, Register shared on behaving our beliefs – the unmistakable marks of a godly pastor. “I’m pleading and I’m calling for me and for you to flesh out bibilical doctrine in such a way that the lost would get the right comprehension of who Jesus is because they see him illustrated so effectively and accurately in me and you,” Register said.
Lino preached from Psalm 51. “This is a call to cultivate a holy heart by rediscovering personal consecration,” he said. “External safeguards can’t keep us from falling into sin, but it’s what’s on the inside. The writer of Proverbs said “above all else, guard your heart.”
Smith shared from 2 Chronicles 26. He spoke on the secret of prosperity and how to flourish and grow in belief.
Drawing on Nehemiah 6, Fant shared that we shouldn’t “go to oh no.” He spoke of moral failings. “Let me ask,” he said, “When you got the call to ministry, did the temptation stop? Don’t consider anything other than that which is God’s plan of holiness.”
