Mississippi Baptists prepare for fall ministry with 2025 IMPACT trainings

JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi Baptists are gearing up for fall ministry with the fourth annual IMPACT Training series, scheduled to take place at five locations across the state in August.

Launched in 2022 by the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board, the statewide training initiative was developed to better equip churches and leaders with practical ministry tools through a streamlined format. Each event includes dinner, a panel discussion with local leaders, and breakout sessions designed to help churches engage more effectively in their communities.

This year’s theme, “Engaging Your Community,” focuses on outreach strategies aimed at addressing the growing spiritual need across the state.

“We know that Mississippi is becoming more and more spiritually lost,” said Jon Martin, chief strategy officer for Mississippi Baptists. “The mission of reaching the lost and making disciples is the call of the local church. We believe this training will equip churches to better accomplish that mission.”

The training will feature breakout sessions for pastors, staff and volunteers, with a focus on providing practical tools for outreach and Gospel engagement.

IMPACT Training events begin with dinner at 5:15 p.m., followed by training from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Pre-registration is preferred.  Those that register one week before the event date will be secured food for dinner.
