FIRST PERSON: Summer Missions 2022: Returning to the Harvest

SUMMER MISSIONARIES — Mississippi Baptist Student Union missionaries for summer 2022 gathered March 25-26 at Garaywa Camp and Conference Center in Clinton for their Summer Missions Retreat. A total of 104 summer missionaries have been commissioned for service in 14 states, one U.S. territory, and 17 countries across five continents.

No settlement in
Johnny Hunt suit
NASHVILLE (BP) – A social media post from SBC President Clint Pressley indicates there is no settlement in the case of Johnny Hunt vs. the SBC, the SBC Executive Committee and Guidepost Solutions. The mediation attempt was ordered by Chief District Judge William L. Campbell. Hunt filed suit in May 2023 following the release of the Guidepost investigation of alleged mishandling of sexual abuse claims by the EC. The trial is scheduled to begin in Nashville on Nov. 12.
