Several changes can be anticipated to this year’s Mississippi Baptist Convention.
The most significant is the location change from First Church, Jackson, to Broadmoor Church,1531 Highland Colony Pkwy, Madison.
Second, there is a change in how registration is handled.
All messengers and guests to the 189th Mississippi Baptist Convention on October 28-29, 2025, will pre-register online. A letter with specific instructions has been mailed to each church qualifying for messengers. The instructions will guide you through the process of pre-registering using your church’s SBC Workspace account. Your SBC Workspace account will show the number of messengers your church is eligible to send according to the guidelines of the Constitution. The Mississippi Baptist Convention’s Constitution states:
Each church in friendly cooperation with the Mississippi Baptist Convention and having contributed to world missions through the Cooperative Program during the preceding convention year shall be entitled to two messengers for the first one hundred members of its membership or fraction thereof.
One additional messenger from each church shall be allowed for each additional one hundred members, or major fraction thereof, but no church shall be entitled to more than ten messengers.
Membership information is based on the 2024 Annual-Church Profile.
Third is the way resolutions will be submitted.
All Resolutions and Credentials for Resolution Submittal forms must be received by the Resolutions Committee between September 28th and October 18th.
The submitter must provide verification that they are a member in good standing of a church qualified to send messengers to the Mississippi Baptist Convention’s Annual Meeting, in accordance with MBC’s Constitution, Article IV.
There are two options for submission:
(1) Mail to Mississippi Baptist Convention, ATTN: MBC Committee on Resolutions, PO. Box 530, Jackson, MS 39205,
or (2) Email to resolutions@mbcb.org.
Forms for submission will be available at a later date.
